Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Health Information Administration Option Ranked One of the Best Affordable Options in the Nation

AffordableSchools.net recently released their rankings of the top 40 most affordable online programs where students can earn a degree in Health Care and Medical Records Information Administration. The Clarkson College Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration placed 16^th on the list.

The site examined bachelor’s degree options in Health Information Technology fields that were offered online for distance learners. They awarded points based on the total tuition cost, student-to-faculty ratios and graduation rates to ensure that the represented programs held the greatest value for students. Clarkson College ranked highly in all three categories and received special mention for its flexible enrollment opportunities and certificate options.

The Clarkson College Health Information Management program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Courses are available 100 percent online with part- and full-time study options, and students can enroll in the fall, spring or summer. Clarkson College also offers a transfer option for students who have earned an associate’s degree from an accredited institution. Applicants may transfer in a maximum of 70 credit hours and earn their bachelor’s degree in as few as two years.
